Work in Progress
You'll see below photos of the incredibly talented Brazilian filmmakers Graciela Guarani and Ziel Karapotó while visiting London.
Here's a bit more about their work:
Graciela Guarani
Born in the Guarani Kaiowá nation, cultural producer, communicator, filmmaker, film curator and teacher, she is Graci, not only a talented filmmaker but also an eloquent and at the same time sweet public speaker.  A cat-lover and a great believer in diversity and in showing things as they are, in all their grittiness. She also looks like a cool pop star, one of the good ones. Do I need to say I loved photographing her and could do it again as many times as she wants?

Ziel Karapotó
Born in Karapotó nation, multiartist, cultural producer, curator, performer and audiovisual producer, he is Ziel Karapotó, a talented indigenous film maker who against all the odds (structural racism being just one of them) was able to bring to life important video-stories about his land and his people. I couldn’t be happier to have had the opportunity to photograph him!
Some of his work: 60th Venice Biennale (2024)'s artwork “Cardume II” (2024), short movie “O verbo de fez carne” (2019), awarded in movie festivals in and outside Brazil. .
I also was lucky to photograph Aislan Pankararu, a Brazilian indigenous artist who has created an internationally renowned career as an artist.
He lives in São Paulo, Brazil, where his works can be seen in important institutions and art galleries.
Below you'll see photos I've taken of Aislan Pankarary at his London exhibition at the Brazil Embassy ('Feel it', May-June 2023), featuring a collection of the paintings created during his month-long residency in London with @peoplespalaceprojects
You will see below photos of Shalyce Lawrence-Bell, who's a producer and song writer. You can hear her music Old Skool Love here. Shalyce lives in London and, besides being an artist, is one of the founders of The Topé Project, which aims to bring together care leavers for events, including a Christmas Day lunch, which create positive memories, inspire and promote more emotional support.
I'm available for commissions and collaborations. Just drop me a line, I'd love to hear from you!
