Besides being a photographer, I’m also an avid gardener. Obsessive, really.
My husband, Andrew, and I designed and built our garden ourselves over four years (2020-24), and we’re very happy to share it with you.
To start with, our number one priority was to create a low-maintenance garden. Now, what makes us the happiest (and a little proud, we must admit) is that we’ve managed to combine strong design elements with sustainable, regenerative principles. With a gentle touch, and a general motto of less is more, we’ve tried to work with nature and not against it.
You'll be able to read about our garden transformation journey, the thought process behind our design decisions, and the different habitats we managed to create in a relatively small garden by clicking on the navigation bar on the top of this page.
Sharing our lives with plants and wildlife is one of our biggest joys and, by sharing our own garden stories, we truly hope you get inspired and start - or enrich - your own patch of green.

A note about Low-maintenance
If you read a couple of the blog posts about our garden, you'll soon notice us going on and on about low-maintenance gardening, so we thought we'd briefly explain what we mean by it.
For us, a low-maintenance approach doesn't mean abandoning the garden or letting it completely fend for itself. While it does involve stepping away from rigid design schemes and fixed ideas, we still tweak, prune, move plants around and remove what no longer works. In fact, we consider these adjustments not only valid but expected and ultimately beneficial to the garden.
We try to have a gentle touch and, to be honest, most days we're either too busy or too tired to tackle any major jobs. Still, low-maintenance, at least in our garden, most definitely does not mean letting things go.
